Peak Oil History
Peak Oil is a family operated business covering Derbyshire, South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire offering a friendly and efficient service to all customers including Commercial, Domestic and Agricultural.
Peak Oil was formed in 1972 by Tom Pearson. The office was based at his home address for 5 years running one tanker from Callywhite Lane in Dronfield.
In 1977 Peak Oil moved to the current location on Foxwood Road, Sheepbridge, Chesterfield.
Further expansion occurred in 1982 when Atkins Oil Services, Cowers Lane, Belper was purchased enabling Peak Oil to become the only family oil company based in Derbyshire.
Over the years the fleet has grown in size to include a range of 12 different sized tankers to cover the narrow roads of the Peak District and surrounding areas. The business supplies Heating Oil, Gas Oil, Road Derv, Lubricants, Tanks, AdBlue and Fuel Cards.
