For latest generation commercial vehicle diesel engines fitted with selected catalytic reduction (SCR) systems
AdBlue® is also known as DEF, AUS 32 or ARLA 32 in some countries. It is injected into the catalyst of the SCR system, triggering a chemical reaction that converts toxic nitrogen oxides (NOx) into harmless water vapour (H2O) and nitrogen (N2).
AdBlue® is a liquid used with diesel engines using selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology to reduce harmful emissions (NOx). Due to strict emission legislation, the use of SCR technology and thus AdBlue® is required with diesel engines (such as those in trucks and buses, as well as some passenger cars) to produce cleaner exhaust gases and meet the Euro 6 standards for diesel engine emission. Additionally, if a SCR-equipped vehicle runs out of AdBlue, it will fail to start.
Peak Energy’s supplier, GreenChem, has developed a wide range of products and services for correct delivery of AdBlue® to truck and bus fleet operators, car owners and those with non-road diesel vehicles and machines.
Vehicles and machinery that may need AdBlue®
- Diesel cars
- Buses and trucks
- Construction equipment, such as: excavators, bulldozers, dump trucks, wheel loaders etc.
- Agricultural machinery, such as: tractors, combine harvesters, self-propelled forest harvesters (SPFH) etc.
- Generator sets, reach stackers, forklift trucks, AGVs, and many more diesel powered engines
GreenChem has special non-road AdBlue®-resistant equipment and dedicated AdBlue® dispensing systems that ensure easy refilling of your machine’s AdBlue® tank.
